  • What is a business Tikkie?

    A business Tikkie is a payment request that you send to one of your customers, either on WhatsApp or social media, or by email or text message. You decide which medium to use. The Tikkie contains a link that your customers can use to make an iDEAL payment.

  • What are the costs of a Tikkie?

    You pay €7.50 per month to use Tikkie, and this lets you receive payment through 20 Tikkies. If you want to receive payment through more Tikkies, the price per Tikkie depends on the total number per month:

    • 21-100 Tikkies paid per month: €0.25 per transaction

    • 101-500 Tikkies paid per month: €0.20 per transaction

    • More than 500 Tikkies paid per month: €0.15 per transaction

  • How do I send a Tikkie?

    There are 4 ways to send a Tikkie, depending on your settings and the features you’ve chosen. For instance, you can have your customers scan a QR code, or share a link with them on WhatsApp or by email or text message. You’re free to choose what works for you. Please note! If you send Tikkies through our portal and you’ve enabled sharing by text message, you’ll pay 10 cents for each text message sent.

  • What do I need to send a Tikkie?

    All you need is an ABN AMRO business account. If you already have an ABN AMRO business account, request Tikkie right away. You’ll be able to get started within 2 days. If you don’t yet have an ABN AMRO business account, simply fill in the form. We’d be happy to help you with your request.

  • How do I apply for Tikkie for companies?

    You can easily request Tikkie for business online by filling in this form, but you will need an ABN AMRO business account. If you don’t yet have an ABN AMRO business account, fill in this request form. We’ll get in touch with you to help you further.

  • What is the highest amount for a Tikkie?

    The standard maximum amount for a Tikkie is €5000. You can also receive a maximum of €15,000 per IBAN each day. If you want to send and receive higher amounts, please email tikkie.business.support@nl.abnamro.com.

  • What is the maximum amount I can receive each day?

    You can receive a maximum of €15,000 each day per IBAN. If you reach this limit, the payer will be asked to try again the next day. For example, you send 11 Tikkies for €1500 each. Everyone pays the Tikkie right away, but number 11 unfortunately won’t be able to. If you want to receive more than €15,000 per day, please email tikkie.business.support@nl.abnamro.com.

  • Who can pay with a Tikkie?

    Anyone with a Dutch account number can pay a Tikkie.

  • How does payment take place?

    Your customer’s money is first transferred to an ABN AMRO clearing account. We then transfer all the Tikkies from this account to your business account in one go, as standard. In case you've enabled 'direct transfer', we will transfer all your Tikkies directly to your current per transaction. Please note! If you started using Tikkie before 23 October 2019, all your Tikkies will be transferred to you per transaction as standard. Prefer all Tikkies in one go? You can easily arrange this in the payment settings of your business app or portal.

  • When does payment take place?

    There are two options for having the Tikkies transferred to your account: in one batch or per transaction. As standard, the total amount of all your Tikkies is transferred to you in a batch each day at 4 a.m. This batch contains all the Tikkies from the previous day, i.e. between 0.00 and 23.59. If you’d prefer us to transfer the Tikkies to you per transaction, you can easily arrange this yourself at the payment settings in your business app or portal. To do this, select 'Direct transfer'.

    We’ll make sure that you receive the amount of each Tikkie starting from the next day. It depends on your own bank how fast you’ll receive the money in your account.

    Good to know: you’ll pay 0.07 cents more if you opt to have the amount transferred per Tikkie.

  • Where can I find the Tikkie API?

    The Tikkie API is available in the ABN AMRO developer portal. You can read all about the Tikkie API there and also try it out.

  • I have changed my mind, can I still cancel my application?

    We’re sorry to hear that you don’t want to use Tikkie! Please email tikkie.business.support@nl.abnamro.com to cancel your request. We’d also be happy to help you with this.
