Terms and conditions for Tikkie Deposits web flow

Last updated on 28/2/2024

What are these terms and conditions all about?

These terms and conditions set out the process for the electronic refund of deposits through the Tikkie web flow. Tikkie was developed by ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (ABN AMRO) * and the service is provided by ABN AMRO.

What do I need to know about the Tikkie Deposits web flow?

The Tikkie Deposits web flow allows your deposit to be refunded electronically at participating locations. You do this through the Tikkie website, so you don’t need the Tikkie app. But you do need a valid Dutch IBAN or an IBAN from a country within the eurozone, as you have to enter the IBAN in the web flow together with your other details. The participating location can then refund your deposit.

What does it cost to use this service?

ABN AMRO won’t charge you for this service.

What is ABN AMRO responsible for?

The participating locations decide whether, and on what conditions, your deposit will be refunded. This has nothing to do with ABN AMRO. ABN AMRO is only responsible for transferring the payment to the IBAN you have entered. ABN AMRO won’t check whether this is actually your IBAN or whether it’s correct. It’s up to you to fill in the right details. If the payment isn’t credited to the IBAN you specified, ABN AMRO must prove that your bank has received the payment. You can then ask your bank why the payment hasn’t been credited to your account. If ABN AMRO can’t prove that your bank has received the amount, ABN AMRO must refund it to you.

When will you receive the refund?

The refund will be in your account ASAP. This also depends on your bank, of course. We aim to transfer the amount to your account within one day at the most.

Privacy

There’s a separate Privacy Statement that tells you how your personal data is used and what your rights are.

Changes

ABN AMRO may make changes to these terms and conditions at any time and will publish the latest version on the Tikkie website.

Restrictions and blocks

ABN AMRO can restrict or block the app’s features at any time. This means, for example, that ABN AMRO can limit the number of deposits or the amount refunded. The participating location can impose specific restrictions.

What to do if you have a complaint about the payment

Please direct any complaints to the Tikkie help desk on WhatsApp: +31 (0)6 137 68 528.

Which laws apply?

These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law. All disputes will be handled by the competent court in Amsterdam.
